ABOUT LOUISE DOLLERY
20 year old artist currently studying Graphic Arts/Illustration at Winchester School of Art.
I wasn't always a creative child, I mostly liked maths and numbers, though I did like to draw and complete 'painting by numbers' sets. When I was 11, I had an art project in school where we had to draw ourselves outside our house. I remembered my parents showing me an easy way of drawing 3D buildings and used this to draw myself on a trampoline with my house in the background. I received a lot of positive feedback about it and it was at this moment when I realised that I did enjoy art.
Then, after gaining an A* in an early Art GCSE when I was 14, I went on to complete my first Art and Design A Level whilst I was at The Hayling College, though I still treated the subject as a hobby.
At South Downs College, I was heavily encouraged by my tutors to persist in the world of art and began to explore more art galleries and markets. It was at this time when I really fell in love with nature and seriously considered a career in art. In Autumn 2017 I began to experiment with watercolours, producing my first realistic animal paintings. I have become more passionate about illustration since and have been often asked if my work will be for sale, so I decided to start up my own business doing what I love.
I always have been a hard little worker and I don't like to have many days off. I'm am genuinely very lucky to have such supportive family and friends around me who never fail to encourage and inspire me.
In my spare time I love to read, swim, dance and go on countryside walks looking for animals and plants!
